Dear Friends,

What is the real beauty of our congregation?  While our church sanctuary, our school facilities, and our beautiful grounds are all attractive and appealing, they are not what make Mount Calvary beautiful.

The real beauty of Mount Calvary is the Lord Jesus Christ.  As we sing in one of our hymns, He is our "Beautiful Savior."  He adorns every single member of Mount Calvary with the beauty of His Perfect righteousness, won for us by His holy life and sacrificial death in our place.  Jesus makes Mount Calvary a beautiful church.

The real beauty of Mount Calvary is Jesus' Word that is preached, taught, used and applied in its truth and clarity.  We sing in one of our hymns, "God's Word is Our Great Heritage."  Our congregation proclaims all of God's Word and only God's word.  That pure Word of God makes Mount Calvary a beautiful church.

The real beauty of Mount Calvary is Mount Calvary's people.  Again, we sing in one of our hymns, "We are God's House of Living Stones."  A congregation is not about bricks and mortar, nor is it about organizations and programs.  It's about people - blood-bought people who love Jesus and want to serve Him.  Mount Calvary's members make Mount Calvary a beautiful church.
